You can’t beat a good old childrens party when you’re a kid (or parent), and these days there’s more choice than ever. As a father of three I’ve become quite knowledgeable about party venues and activities to do in North Wales; and as we are getting more interest in children’s parties at the golf course, I thought it was time for a blog post on the subject!
So, if you’re looking to do something different this year but lacking in ideas, take inspiration from our selection of kids party venues in North Wales (be warned, I did consult with my 9 year old son, Finley, for this!)
Children’s Party Activities In North Wales
Tobogganing at Llandudno Ski Slope and Snowboard Centre
For the speed demon this is the perfect place to celebrate, riding the longest toboggan run in Britain. It’s suitable for ages 4 and up and there’s also a bar and restaurant for parents to enjoy the Panoramic views of Llandudno while the kids are enjoying themselves on the slopes.
Tree Tops – Betws y Coed
If swinging through trees is what you’re after, then Tree Tops is a very popular place to visit and has seperate Adult and Junior courses to suit all abilities. There’s over 30 obstacles on the Junior course so getting through it all is challenging and a lot of fun.
Ice skating – Deeside
Another popular one amongst the kids is Ice skating at Deeside’s Olympic-sized Ice Rink. There’s penguins for the not so confident or first time junior skaters to hold on to as they find their feet on the ice; but it doesn’t take long before they’re away as confidence builds (along with speed!) It’s also great for a laugh for Mum and Dad as they laugh at each other falling over!
Spavens Sweet Shop – Mold
This place brings out the kid in all of us, quite possibly the BEST sweet shop in the world! We were here for a party a few months ago and it’s great fun. Each child is given a glass jar to paint with their own design and then gets to go and fill with it with sweets from the shop and take it home. They stock all the sweets us adults remember from our childhood and even quite a few I’d forgotten about! (Sweet jar filling tip- start off with gobstoppers, finish up with sherbet dust, you get more in that way )
Golf Academy – Llannerch Park Golf
A man after my own heart, Finley listed a golfing party as one of his favourites. We have been the venue for many a budding golfer to celebrate getting another year older; with a crash course in golf with our pro available as part of the package. We’ve seen kids who have never held a club before leave here hooked and looking forward to their next visit. The weather is never a problem as we have both indoor and outdoor facilities on site.
All the venues above have somewhere parents can sit back and enjoy refreshments while the children have fun. You may need to check height and age restrictions for some of the more adventurous activities.
So there’s a few ideas for you! Why not ask your child what their ideal party would be and we can add it to the list?
